Emma started Gateway HR and Training Ltd in 2007 with a desire for HR and people management to be truly valued for what it can add to a business. With many HR companies providing a ‘one size fits all’ virtual outsourced service, she wanted to ensure Gateway HR’s emphasis was on providing a professional, personable service. Emma’s philosophy and ethos ensures Gateway HR wins the trust of the business, its leaders and its employees so we become a trusted partner, not just an outsourced service.
“I established and continue to grow Gateway HR from a firm belief that when people are managed and developed well, it truly is the best thing that can happen for both individuals and the organisations they work in. Rightly or wrongly, most people spend more time at work than at home, so work needs to be a place where they feel happy and want to do their best. When a business delivers this feeling of engagement, the results in terms of profit, innovation and growth are endless.”
Emma has an MA in Human Resource Management, has lectured for the University of Northampton and the CIPD at Masters degree level and has presented at conferences across the UK. Emma is also a trustee for Citizens Advice Corby & Kettering and relaxes by spending time with the office mascot, Daisy the dog…often in very muddy fields!
