We don’t just ‘do the right thing’ by our clients.  Our local community is also at the top of our priority list!

A number of our team members are trustees for local charities and giving back to our communities is so important to us, each year we support a nominated charity.  This charity will benefit from free or substantially reduced training or coaching sessions, discounted HR services and in our amazing fundraising efforts!

2023

Our Charity of the Year for 2023 is Northampton Saints Foundation!

We are delighted to be supporting the work of the amazing Northampton Saints Foundation during 2023.

In addition to supporting the Foundation with management and leadership training, we are proud to announce that our team member David has agreed to take on an epic challenge! 🚴‍♂️

In June, David will be cycling 984 miles from Lands End to John O’Groats to raise funds for the Northampton Saints Foundation. His journey will take him through beautiful landscapes and challenging terrains, including Clevedon, Chester, Penrith, Pitlochry and Aviemore, with ascents of 1700 metres. We can’t wait to follow his journey and support his fundraising efforts for a fantastic cause. You can support David by donating to his fundraising page here:

2022

Our Charity of the Year for 2022 is Service Six!

Service Six is a Northamptonshire based charity who, for over 40 years, have been helping the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children, young people and their families in our local communities to overcome issues affecting their lives including: low self-esteem, bullying, bereavement, depression, self-harming and traumatic experiences through a wide range of services such as counselling, support and thematic project activities.

The services they provide are life-changing and often life-saving for the children and young people who access them and their families. Their needs-led and bespoke activities not only aim to help service users overcome the problems they currently face, but also to provide them with the life-skills they will need to deal with problems they may face in the future, hence their strapline: “Changing Lives, Creating Futures”.

During the year we supported Service Six by providing a range of training sessions, places on our CMI accredited leadership courses, and a focused but fun Team Building Day with Graham Ravenscroft. We took part in the Waendal Walk to raise funds for the charity and at our Attract, Retain and Developing People Conference, attendees were so blown away by the charity’s work, we raised over £450 on the day selling raffle tickets!

2021

In 2021 we are supporting another amazing charity: The Lewis Foundation.

The award-winning charity, founded by Lorraine Lewis, donates 1000’s of gifts to adult cancer patients in hospitals across the region.  They rely solely on donations – both in money and time.  Lorraine and her husband who both also have full time jobs, are supported by an amazing team of volunteers who collect and distribute the gifts, bringing smiles to so many faces.

To show our support we would like to raise just under £2,000 to help the charity continue their amazing work.  As a team we are known for walking the talk, now we are also going to walk the world!! Approximately 25,000 miles/50,000,000 steps!  We have set up a Just Giving page with full details of what we are doing and how you can help us support the Lewis Foundation. Theresa will be posting regular updates on our LinkedIn page.  We have 20 destinations to reach and aim to celebrate our arrival at each in an appropriate way! We are asking for the key destinations to be ‘sponsored’, so will be giving a big shout out to all those who do!

2020

In 2020 we supported the wonderful Teamwork Trust

This incredible charity supports adults with mental health needs, autism, learning and physical disabilities, from across Northamptonshire by providing a range of services, including enabling and education projects, activities and counselling programmes.  Teamwork Trust, who have centres in Corby, Kettering and Wellingborough, offers a friendly, supportive environment where their members can make new friends, access education, an opportunity to gain employability skills, whilst  regaining self-esteem and confidence.  They are passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to the same chances, choices and opportunities.

2020 was an unusual year to say the least, so the nature of our support was equally out of the ordinary! In addition to our offer of access to online training, our support included a number of fitness videos for Teamwork Trust’s members recorded by Lead Performance Coach, Graham Ravenscroft, during lockdown. The full series can be found on our YouTube channel!

2019 and earlier….

We have supported a number of incredibly worthy charities over the years, all of whom do really valuable work with young people and vulnerable adults.  Hopefully, when time allows, we will go back through our archives and fill this page with more photos and videos!

If you’re not our charity of the year, you can still benefit from the 10% discount we give to charities on all but our ‘Standard’ packages.
