In 2017, the Government commissioned Lord Stevenson and Paul Farmer, the CEO of Mind, to undertake an independent review of the role employers can play to better support individuals with mental health conditions in the workplace. The resulting ‘Thriving at Work’ report set out a framework of actions called ‘Core Standards’, designed to help employers improve the mental health of their workplace and enable individuals with mental health conditions to thrive. The report recommends that employers of all sizes can and should implement these actions.

This taster session is for you to find out more about our AQA accredited Level 2 course. The course is for organisations committed to meeting the Core Standards by having mental health champions in the workplace. These ‘champions’ are actively promoted within the organisation as people that anyone can go and speak to for support and advice in relation to any concerns about their own or others’ mental health.

The mental health champions are also the group in the organisation that promote good mental health, manage events to support this and meet regularly with senior management to discuss any trends and need for resources from the organisation.
