Think that HR is just about making sure that you don’t break the law, and having all the right paperwork in order? Or even worse than that is seeing HR as the “Police” of the organisation or the “people that say no”?
You wouldn’t be alone in thinking that. It’s an approach that many business owners take, even in huge organisations that have the time and the resources readily available to do things differently. As HR consultants it is something that we hate, we strive to add value to all the organisations that we work with and change their and their employees’, opinions of what HR does – or at least how we do it.
Here’s the thing though.
