This “Panic Stations” workshop is for anyone who has yet to get to grips with the changing landscape of data protection.  This will be an interactive workshop, to help you create a plan of action to make sure you are compliant with the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) which comes into force in May 2018.

The session will include:

  • An introduction to the GDPR
  • The GDPR principles
  • What you need to do if you process data in your organisation
  • Completing a data flow audit for your organisation
  • What to include in a privacy statement
  • How to check if you are lawfully processing data
  • What are individual rights and is your organisation compliant?
  • To consent or not to consent?
  • Data breaches, and what to do if it happens
  • Notification and record-keeping.

 

The workshop will take place from 10:00 to 16:00 (with refreshments and registration from 9:30), at the Kettering Park Hotel.  A hot buffet lunch is included as well as plenty of tea and coffee!

Tickets are £249 + VAT per person.
