Leadership & Management Workshops – your chance to pick & mix!
Our ILM (Institute of Leadership and Management) course began on Thursday 16th June 2016. Whilst it’s too late for you to sign up for the full course this time, there is an opportunity for you to ‘pick & mix‘ as we have a few spaces for additional people to attend one or two (or more) of the workshops, at a cost of £200 + VAT per person, per workshop. This course is ideal if you have management responsibilities but no formal training and are serious about developing your expertise. It is a chance for you as an individual – or for your whole team – to gain valuable new management skills. The course is particularly suited to practising team leaders seeking to move up to the next level of management, and managers who need to lead people through organisational change, budget cuts or other pressures. The course involves a number of interactive workshops and assignments, with a mixture of group work, and discussions.
The course will enable the delegates to:

- Put new skills into practice in your own role
- Learn how to motivate and engage teams, and manage relationships confidently

The cost for this course is £1675 (+VAT) per student. A 10% discount for registered charities and public sector organisations will be applied when invoiced.

Breakfast Seminar, 21st Century Customer Service, 8:00am, Wednesday 2nd November 2016
Our breakfast seminar on 21st Century Customer Service was hosted by award-winning customer service trainer and strategist, Claire Haycock, who gave delegates some amazing tips for improving the customer service in their business. Everyone left with a head full of ideas for simple tweaks they can make that will improve their team’s skills, and their clients’ experience. We expect that, if done correctly, these businesses will all see growth in their turnover thanks to better customer service.
Breakfast Seminar, Build a Winning Team, 8:00am, Wednesday 7th September 2016
This session was led by Graham Ravenscroft – Graham is a high-ranking GB Athletics Team Coach, and was part of the support team for the 2012 London Olympics. Graham has also worked extensively to develop high-performance in the world of business, and his coaching skills are second to none. In this session, Graham looked at his approach to team building, what makes a ‘top team’, and the practical action that attendees could take back in their day jobs to develop a winning team of high performers. Free Webinar: Stop Stressing About HR – Shortcuts to Compliance and Less Headaches on a Budget
We held a successful webinar on Monday 6th June 2016, led by Gateway’s Managing Director, Emma Wynne. Emma helped participants ensure that all their HR documents were legally compliant and up to date, and also introduced Gateway’s online HR Document Library, which provides 24/7 access to a wide range of HR documents and templates.

Free Seminar: Learn from the Pros – how to develop a winning team
Our seminar on Friday 7th November 2015 looked at the theme of teamwork, and how to develop a winning team. We heard from Emma Wynne, Managing Director of Gateway HR, and had an inspirational presentation from Graham Ravenscroft of England Athletics. It was Gateway’s 7th birthday, so of course we fitted in time for cakes!
