Gateway HR Charity Partner

Gateway HR Charity Partner

Gateway HR prides itself on doing everything ethically and we all have a passion for making sure our clients have peace of mind when it comes to managing people and looking after all the awkward and tricky legal stuff, which could – if not done correctly – get companies into trouble.  This includes charity and third sector organisations.

However, we also understand that with all the areas that charities need to cover, HR support it not always financially viable, and sometimes drops to the bottom of the to do list.  That is why at Gateway HR we choose one charity per year, per area (currently Northamptonshire and Yorkshire) to help with free HR support, including management development and training where required.

Details of the two charities that we are supporting in 2016 are below.  We are currently looking for charities to support in 2017 – one in Northamptonshire or the surrounding area, and one in Yorkshire.  If you are a charity in one of these areas, and would like to apply to be one of our supported charities in 2017, then please email Clare Hargrave, by Wednesday 30th November –  Please let Clare have the following details about your charity:

  • Charity name and registered charity number
  • A brief summary of what you charity does, how old it is, and how many people it employs
  • What support you would be interested in receiving from us – for example, in the past we have supported charities by helping them produce employee policies and contracts; running staff development training on issues such as delegation, assertiveness, customer service and communication; developing staff appraisal systems; holding staff team building days; and supporting them on a range of HR issues such as performance management.

In 2016 we are supporting two charities:

IPSEA (Independent ipsea-logo-retinaParental Special Education Advice), who help get the right education for children and young people with all kinds of special educational needs (SEN) and disabilities;
